Interactive Map Tutorial

Each Region has an interactive map with ALL TRAILS in the region on one map so you can put them in perspective.

This example is from the Quartzsite, Arizona region.

Trail Colors

Access Roads:  Roads that provide access to numerous trails.  Think of these as the supporting skeleton of the trail system.  Most major trails start from an access road.  Some access roads are paved and some are Jeep trails.  You will not have a track to the beginning of many major trails unless you also download the Access Road(s).    NOTE:  The "1A ALL Access Roads ..." file on the Regional Page is the ONLY PLACE you can download Access Roads.

Major Trails:  Trails listed under "Trail Webpages" on the Regional page.  Each of these trails has its own webpage.  A few Access Roads also have their own webpage.

Minor Trails:  All other trails.  DO NOT OVERLOOK THESE TRAILS!!  Use them for exploring off the major trails.  NOTE:  The "1A ALL Minor Trails ..." file on the Regional Page is the ONLY PLACE you can download minor trails.

Tips to use the map
